My son collects critters that most kids would think were disgusting, but he loves this one. It's actually cuter than I thought it would be, even my daughter wants one now. It looks so innocent, and is bigger than I expected. He's big enough to love on, and small enough to store on your bed, or shelf. I think it's approximately 12 inches long, maybe longer, I didn't measure it. Very sweet looking, and adds to my son's critter collection just fine. He wants all the Webkinz lizards, and snakes, so this one fits just fine in his crowd of weird and crazy animals. He also likes putting the code into the computer that comes on it's tag and plays in the world of Webkinz online. You can decorate their rooms and buy stuff for your virtual pet, they have lots of fun playing with the Webkinz online, and the stuffed animal too. This way the animal doesn't get thrown to the bottom of the pile like most stuffed animals.

My 2 kids like playing with their Webkinz, but I just learned something today that I like to share with other parents - treat your pet's secret codes like gold. Why? because you need it for everything to do with your account - e.g. forgot password, reset account, send comments and feedback, etc.



I find Webkinz in this regard very backward in today's web2.0 world, and very profit-minded. First of all, the secret code is this little piece of paper that can be easily lost. Secondly, how hard would it be for Webkinz to simply record and safe keep the secret code in the account created? One suggestion to Webkinz if it doesn't want to record and safe keep the secret code during account creation/pet adoption is to require a parent's email and send the code and account information to the parent's email. That way at least the parent can save a copy of this account information including the secret code.



I learned this the hard way this morning when my son told me he forgot his password to Webkinz. When I got to the Webkinz, it requires me to know the secret code before they can reset his password. Then I tried to send customer service a comment/feedback via their comments & suggestions link, and only to learn that in order to send comment or feedback, I needed to login to webkinz first, which I was having trouble in the first place doing so. This is the only reason I rated 'durability' for this toy as one star.



Unless I am missing something here, I do not see the need for Webkinz to continue requiring the secret code beyond signup/adoption time. And if there is truly a valid reason for Webkinz to require that, it could keep it with the account or send full account email to parents during signup/adoption. Don't get me wrong, I do see the reason for the secret code BEFORE signup/adoption, but just not AFTER.

I too wonder why this came out as a Halloween toy, it should be a Thanksgiving toy. This thing is cuter in real life than the picture on the computer. It's so soft you immediately fall in love with it's cuddley looks. Very soft to the touch. And as with all the other Webkinz toys, you can play with your virtual turkey online on the Webkinz website. Just use the code on the tag, and you'll have fun for hours. This is a cute addition to anyones Webkinz collection.

These dragons are so beautiful, cuddly and realistically made (Yes, I do believe in dragons!) and the hilarious hanging out tongue, gold horns, belly and wings and purple velour "scaly skin" make this little guy a truly royal playmate for any dragonologist 3 to 103. Paired with the Whimsical Dragon Webkinz (I do have one named Penny after a friend of mine but as she came to me new but codeless at a %66 discount and there were none with codes available at the FYE store my hubby and I got her at, I cannot use her online.), this guy looks like a dragon prince with his dragon princess. I recommend this guy so highly!!!
